CTET September 2018 Answer KeyAs always, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will conduct the CTET examinations in the month of September this year. The CTET exam, also known as the Central Teacher Eligibility Test is held to determine a teacher’s eligibility to join a secondary school. In other words, a teacher who has cleared the CTET can teach in classes I to VIII.

CTET Official Answer Key 2018 – Download

The CTET exams are held twice, and two different sets of questions are issued for each. Candidates who want to teach classes 1 to 5 need to appear for Paper 1, while those who want to teach classes 6 to 8 have to sit for Paper 2. To qualify for appointment at both levels, candidates need to sit for both papers. The ctet answer key 2018 paper 1 and paper 2 will be available after a couple of days of the examination.

The tentative date for this year’s CTET examination is 16th September 2018. The application has begun from 22nd June 2018 and will continue up to 19th July 2018.

Paper 1 and Paper 2 will comprise of Multiple Choice Questions. The candidates will have to complete the paper in 180 minutes. They will be rewarded 1 point for every correct answer- there is no negative marking. To pass, the candidate will have to procure 60 % marks (General) or 55% marks (SC/ST/OBC).

All questions in paper 1 are compulsory. In paper 2, candidates can choose between Science & Mathematics and Social Science.

The candidates’ knowledge about the following sections will be tested in paper 1:

  • Child Development and Pedagogy (30 marks)
  • Language I (30 marks)
  • Language II (30 marks)
  • Mathematics (30 marks)
  • Environmental Studies (30 marks)

In paper 2, candidates will have to answer questions pertaining to the following subjects:

  • Child Development and Pedagogy (30 marks)
  • Language I (30 marks)
  • Language II (30 marks)
  • Mathematics and Science or Social Science (60 marks)

Since the first paper is for primary school teachers, the questions will be in accordance with the syllabus of classes 1 to 5.

Similarly, paper 2 will have questions based on the syllabus of classes VI, VII and VIII.

The syllabus for both papers will be defined by the CBSE board well in advance before the examination.

As the candidates will be given OMR sheets, the answers will be corrected electronically. Thereby, there is no scope for mistakes during correction. Candidates must ensure that the OMR sheets are not folded or damaged in any way, and are free from any stray marks or white ink.

    In ctet paper 2 test booklet code o question number 80 for science (part 2 mathematics & science ) magnesium hydroxide is used as :- 1. Anti-acid 2. fermentation agent 3. oxidizing agent 4. reducing agent
    the answer given in answer key is option 1 i.e. anti acid but it also used as an oxidizing agent i.e. option 3.
    Regarding this question there should be benefit to applicants.
